Safety Guide for Handheld Vacuum Cleaners & Leaf Blowers
Read all safety instructions carefully before using the product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, injury, or damage to the product. This guide applies to both handheld vacuum cleaners and leaf blowers.
1. General Safety Precautions
- Check that the power supply voltage matches the product’s rated voltage before operation. Do not use the product if the voltage is inconsistent.
- Inspect the product, power cord, and plug for damage before each use. If damaged (e.g., frayed cords, cracked plugs), stop using it immediately and contact the manufacturer for repair or replacement.
- Do not pull the plug out by the cord; grasp the plug firmly to avoid damaging the cord or plug.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces, sharp edges, and water. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of tables, counters, or other elevated surfaces.
- Do not carry the product by the power cord. Avoid bending, squeezing, or altering the power cord in any way.
- This product is for household use only. Do not use it for commercial, industrial, or unintended purposes.
- Do not use the product outdoors if it is not designed for outdoor use (check the product specifications for details).
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all body parts away from moving parts, air inlets, and outlets to avoid injury or entanglement.
- Close supervision is required when the product is used by or near children (under 18 years old) or pets. Children should not play with the product, and cleaning/maintenance should not be done by children without adult supervision.
- Do not use the product if you are tired, sick, under the influence of medication, alcohol, or drugs.
- Use only the manufacturer’s recommended attachments and accessories. Do not use non-original parts, as they may cause damage or injury.
2. Safety for Handheld Vacuum Cleaners
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick up flammable or combustible materials (e.g., gasoline, alcohol), burning or smoking items (e.g., cigarettes, matches, hot ashes), or sharp objects (e.g., glass, nails) that may damage the product or cause injury.
- Do not pick up liquids unless the vacuum cleaner is specifically designed for wet/dry use. Immersing the vacuum cleaner, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid is strictly prohibited.
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the dust container and filter in place. A blocked filter or air inlet may cause the motor to overheat. If the product shuts off due to overheating, turn it off, unplug it, and allow it to cool for at least 1 hour before emptying the dust container and cleaning the filter.
- Take extra care when cleaning on stairs to avoid dropping the product or losing balance.
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner on carpets with long fibers, as the bristles may damage the fibers. Keep the vacuum moving over carpet surfaces to prevent fiber damage.
- For battery-powered vacuum cleaners: Use only the recommended battery and charger. Remove the battery when not in use and store it separately, away from direct sunlight, heat, and metal objects (e.g., coins, keys) to avoid short circuits.
3. Safety for Leaf Blowers
- Wear appropriate protective gear during use, including hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), eye protection (safety glasses), non-slip work gloves, and a dust mask if necessary to avoid dust inhalation.
- Do not operate the leaf blower while standing on ladders, rooftops, trees, or other unstable surfaces. Use nozzle attachments to reach high places instead.
- Do not use the leaf blower to clean up large amounts of gravel, construction dirt, plaster dust, cement dust, or dry garden topsoil, as these materials may be blown into eyes or cause injury.
- For gas-powered leaf blowers: Use the correct gasoline-oil mixture as specified in the product manual. Fuel the blower only when the engine is off, and store fuel in a properly marked, well-ventilated container away from heat and open flames.
- For battery-powered leaf blowers: Inspect the battery for damage (e.g., punctures, cuts) before use. Stop using the battery if it overheats or malfunctions. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended battery and charger.
- Do not point the leaf blower nozzle at people, pets, or fragile objects (e.g., windows, plants) to avoid injury or damage.
4. Maintenance & Storage Safety
- Turn off the product and unplug it (or remove the battery for cordless models) before cleaning, maintaining, or replacing parts/attachments.
- Clean the product regularly according to the manual. Do not use flammable or alcohol-based cleaners, as they may cause fire or damage the product’s surface.
- Store the product in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from heat, direct sunlight, and children’s reach. Store attachments and accessories separately to avoid loss or damage.
- Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the product yourself. Contact a qualified professional or the manufacturer for repairs if needed.
- Dispose of the product, battery, and accessories in accordance with local environmental regulations. Do not throw batteries into fire or household waste.
